Chantal & Tim
Two very dear friends of mine partnered in VR about a year ago, and I had the honor of filming their wedding.
Although my role was simply to send the footage to Chantal for editing, I couldn’t resist putting this together.
Happy Anniversary you two!
Beach Ball Bingo – 48 HFP Entry Extended Cut
Our assigned genre was thriller/suspense, and ironically we had a lot of real life suspense along the way. We got our film uploaded a scant five minutes before the dealine. A tension filled cast and crew exploded in joy when the successful upload was announced in group chat, only to crash into despair a few minutes later on learning that because of an issue with the film format our entry would be disqualified.
However, the next day, we learned from the contest sponsors that they would allow our entry to be submitted for judging, and the suspensful, thrill filled weekend of movie making mayhem turned out to have a happy ending after all.
We’re thinking of making a thriller/suspense movie about a team of people who have to make a movie in 48 hours….
Farewell Mainland
This was the original build of Ideajuice Studios in Second Life. Then one day, the Lindens noticed that there was water on the mainland, and the next day the water was gone.
Welcome to our new blogs!
Thanks for visiting our blog. We won’t be posting often, but we hope when we do post something you find it entertaining and useful.
Ideajuice Studios is a very small company created by CodeWarrior Carling, an avatar in the Second Life® virtual world, to produce and publish machima made there and with other emerging tools such as iClone, DX Studio and Moviestorm.
Machinima are videos made using game engines or other virtual reality applications by recording the players actions in real time and then editing the resulting footage using normal techniques that apply to any other video.
You can view many of the machinima produced by Ideajuice Studios on other parts of our site. These blogs are more of a place for us to share our thoughts on other things we think will be of interest to our friends and fans.
